Britney Spears announced Friday she is putting her Las Vegas show on hold due to her father’s illness.

According to a post on her Twitter account, she made the decision to put her family first and will be focusing her energy on that at this time. She said her father was hospitalized a few months ago and nearly died.

Her residency, Britney: Domination, at the MGM’s Park Theater was set to open in February. She tweeted that there will be information about ticket refunds on BritneySpears.com.
