Crews battling brush fire near Big Bend State Park in Laughlin

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Clark County Firefighters and Metro Police are responding to a Vegetation fire in the Laughlin area.

The fire started around 1:18 p.m., near Big Bend State Park.

The Nevada Division of Forestry are investigating the cause of the fire while Metro Police, Clark County Firefighters, and the San Bernardino County Fire District are assisting. A portion of Needles Highway is shut down for traffic coming in from California, drivers are being diverted to alternate routes.


COLORADO RIVER: #SBCoFD Boat 32 is currently assisting @ClarkCountyFire with a VEGETATION FIRE at Big Bend state park in Nevada. They will be assisting with fire attack utilizing the boat’s on-board suppression equipment and the river as the water source.-JRS

There are no injuries, according to police.
