Henderson Fire Department responded to a plane that has gone off of a runway at Henderson Executive Airport around 10:30 a.m.

The McCarran Aiport Public Information Officer says that a Henderson based pilot was returning from Santa Monica, California, when he encountered a brake issue on his Cirrus SR-22. The pilot decided to take the plane off the runway during landing.

No injuries were reported to the pilot, the sole person aboard the plane, and the plane suffered only minor damages.

The runway will remain closed for a couple of hours.
