Update: Possible suspect vehicle located after bicyclist hit, killed in southwest Valley

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Metro police have located a possible suspect vehicle in the case of a deadly hit and run crash involving a bicyclist in the southwest Valley this morning. The vehicle was abandoned in the desert area near Fort Apache and Warm Springs.

Authorities say the vehicle has damage consistent with being involved in a collision and are still working to identify the suspect driver.

The collision happened early Wednesday on Warm Springs Road near Tenaya Way between 1 and 3 a.m. The bicyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Warm Springs is closed in both directions between Tenaya & Buffalo and was expected to remain so until 8 a.m.

Police say the victim was an adult male. The Clark County Coroner identified him as 33-year-old Charles Burnette. He died from multiple blunt force injuries.
