LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas police took one person into custody Friday morning in connection with a shooting in the east valley that left another person in critical condition.

Metro police reported the arrest on its Twitter page for the Downtown Area Command saying “Relentless follow-up and community support assisted with the apprehension!”

The shooting was reported around 10:27 p.m. Thursday in the area of Johnson Avenue and Honolulu Street near Charleston Boulevard and U.S. 95.

The victim was taken to Sunrise Hospital for treatment.
