The man accused of killing a tourist in downtown Las Vegas is expected to appear in front of a judge for the first time Wednesday morning.
Police say James Beach punched a southern California man, leading to his death. Beach faces one count of open murder for the death of Luis Campos. Police say Beach dealt the fatal blow that led to Campos dying from a traumatic brain injury.
Nearly two weeks ago, Campos was in downtown celebrating a bachelor party for his brother. He was set to be the best man at his brother’s wedding. Campos was waiting in line outside the Vanguard Lounge when he was approached by two men. Police say Beach told them Campos looked at him, which is why he attacked the man.
Campos died days later leaving behind five children and a wife.
