The green spotlight will shine on Las Vegas this month for Sustainability Symposium 2019: The Desert Shall Bloom. Eco experts from across the country will gather to share the latest ideas, technology, and innovations in sustainable living.
The day-long conference will cover global topics, such as renewable energy, drought, advances in green building, and more. The focus is discovering and sharing solutions to sustainability challenges with new technology and innovations.
The conference will also bring the spotlight into our community and examine our homes and the lifestyle choices we make ever day.
Sara Gutterman is CEO of Green Builder Media. She said more of us are paying attention to the consequences of our daily actions.
“You know a lot of the big scary eco messages that have been more gloom and doom are shifting and transforming to be more common sense on a day-to-day basis and I think first and foremost people want to be happy and healthy,” said Gutterman. “(People) want to save money, and they want most often want to do the right thing. I think those realities are helping change people’s minds and turning on the light bulb a little bit with respect to just some of the common sense decisions we need to start making.”
Along with experts from across the country, our own local industry leaders will share their efforts and successes on things like water conservation, recycling, and sustainable green buildings in Southern Nevada.
