The Vegas Golden Knights teamed up with the Animal Foundation to find homes for recently rescued Pomeranians.

Las Vegas authorities rescued 164 Pomeranians crammed in a rental truck without food, water or ventilation in late November.

Fifteen of the dogs went up for adoption during a Monday event at City National Arena.

There was a live auction for five of the dogs following the Golden Knights’ practice.

Adult attendees will get a free chance to adopt one of the 10 remaining dogs and can purchase additional $20 tickets to increase their chances of winning the drawing.

Winners were chosen at random.

An online promotion to facilitate adoptions for the remaining 149 dogs will also launch at the event. To register, just text ADOPT to number 52182 or visit adopt.gesture.com.

There is a $200 fee per dog to enter the online promotion. Up to three entries can be purchased but only one dog per household my be adopted through the online drawing. The entries will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. Jan. 1, 2018.

The $200 fee covers Spay/neuter, microchip, up-to-date vaccines, a starter bag of food, 30 days of free pet insurance and a voucher good for a complimentary wellness exam at participating veterinary hospitals.

Non-winners will also be able to adopt any pet for free from The Animal Foundation beginning Jan. 6, 2018 through Dec. 31, 2018.
