A former U.S. Congressman, State Senator and State Assemblyman will be running for a seat on the Las Vegas City Council.
Ruben Kihuen announced the news of his candidacy for Ward 3 on his Twitter page Tuesday.
I’m ready to continue serving the people of Nevada. I will work hard to earn your vote on April 2nd for Las Vegas City Council Ward 3. #LVWard3

Last year, a House Ethics Committee released a report on Kihuen that found he harassed women who worked with him. 8 News Politics NOW host Patrick Walker covered the story back in November and the results were a 170-page report including text messages and photos from three women who were required to work with him over the years, who say Kihuen sexually harassed them by touching, kissing and repeatedly making advances toward them.
The committee found that Kihuen “made persistent and unwanted advances towards women who were required to interact with him as part of their professional responsibilities.”
Kihuen largely denied the allegations and did not seek re-election.
