Jewelry store employee killed by security guard identified

The employee killed during a jewelry store robbery has been identified as 57-year-old Kimberlee Ann Kincaid-Hill of Henderson.
According to the Clark County Coroner’s officer, she died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Kincaid-Hill was accidentally shot by a security guard at Jared The Galleria of Jewelry on Sunset Road Saturday around 8:45 p.m., police said.
The suspected robber ran from the store and is still at large. He is described as a black man between 5-foot-6 inches tall, between 140 to 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red and black hoodie, black pants and a dark-colored hat or beanie.
Days after the deadly attempted robbery, the business remains closed, but a memorial for Kincaid-Hill has grown outside the store.
“I had to come put my flower there and show my respect because I feel really bad,” said Darian Cravin.
Cravin doesn’t know the victim, but she said she was moved by what she describes as a senseless crime that left an innocent woman dead.
“It’s heartbreaking,” Cravin said. “Someone came in here, and you just took someone’s life. Like, she didn’t have anything to do with that, and now she’s gone.”
8 News NOW spoke with one of Kincaid-Hill’s friends, and she describes her as a loving person and responsible employee.
“I just hope everybody remembers her as the nice woman that she was,” said Samantha Brooks.  “She was a caring daughter, taking care of her mother.”
The suspect is facing a murder charge as a killing was committed during the commission of a robbery or attempted robbery.
