Henderson police hope you can identify the suspect involved in Saturday night’s deadly robbery at Jared the Galleria of Jewelry.
Investigators released a surveillance image of the suspect entering the store located at 1071 W. Sunset Road at about 8:45 p.m.
A security guard attempted to subdue the suspect and fired his weapon, said Henderson police. The bullet missed the suspect and struck a 57-year-old female employee.
Investigators say the suspect took off and escaped without any merchandise or cash.
The female employee was rushed to Sunrise Hospital in critical condition where she succumbed to her injuries.
The suspect is described as an adult black man between 5’6” and 5’10” and between 140 and 150 lbs. He was last seen wearing a red and black hoodie, black pants, black mask and a dark colored hat or beanie.
The suspect is facing murder charges as the killing was committed during the commission or attempted commission of a robbery. He will also be charged with attempted robbery when arrested, said police.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
