On Wednesday’s Child, we believe foster children should get every chance at permanency. That’s why we’re happy to keep featuring them until they’re adopted. Maybe the right person is watching *this* time… Maybe you!
Back in February of this year, Jesse appeared on Wednesday’s Child during a visit to Madame Tussaud’s.
“I would like a home that like treats me well… treats me like a normal kid,” said Jesse back then.
His case worker, Kerrie very much believes there is absolutely an adoptive home for Jesse out there somewhere.
“He keeps asking me if I found him a home yet. He wants a home. He wants the same thing that all those kids deserve. He wants permanency. He wants a home where he can come home and this is his home,” admits Kerrie.
This time, we met at “Popped” in Henderson…And once again, Jesse’s energy and intellect were obvious. As before, he told us he has his heart set on being an attorney.
“I’m in the law program it’s a law, business, military and global leadership program in the law program and they teach us like doing things you need to know to be a lawyer, like what life would be like as a lawyer and stuff like that and I’ve taken some hard classes because I’m in law program,” explains Jesse.
Jesse is now 15 years… A sophomore in high school, and a decided over-achiever.
“He’s super smart. And he communicates exceptionally well. He says his needs, he’s self-aware. He’s actually really funny, he’s creative, he’s artistic. He has a lot of very very good qualities. He’s engaging. You want to be around Jesse,” says Kerrie.
Kerrie knows Jesse would be a blessing to any family that adopts him.
“He wants people to ride the waves with him. Whether it’s you know loving his good traits and accepting anything that comes with Jesse accepting Jesse for who Jesse is, that would be important and he deserves that. Every child does,” says Kerrie.
Adopting Jesse would be fairly simple. Just call the local office of the Adoption Exchange to get started. 702-436-6335
