The number two official at the Southern Nevada Health District has been fired.
Jackie Reszetar has served as director of environmental health at the district since 2014.
Her resignation comes one day after the 8 News NOW I-Team reported that Reszetar ordered employees to drive her around to appointments because her own driver’s license was suspended two years ago. An active bench warrant for her arrest has been in effect since 2016.
Chief Health Officer Dr. Joseph Iser, who resides in San Francisco, declined to comment about Reszetar’s legal issues.
He informed the health board about the resignation today adding that neither he nor staff members would answer questions about the reasons behind it.
