The Vegas Golden Knights protected home ice in Games 1 and 2 taking both games in the quarterfinals.
Game two went to double overtime Friday night until Erik Haula beat Kings’ goalie Jonathan Quick stick side for the game-winner defeating Los Angeles 2-1. The Golden Knights lead the series 2-0 going back to southern California.
Alec Tuch accounted for the first goal on the power play while the Kings Paul LaDue tied it on the man advantage midway through the second period.
Both goaltenders Marc-Andre Fleury and Jonathan Quick were spectacular with point blank saves throughout regulation.
Game 3 will be Sunday in Los Angeles.
