A former student of Garside Junior High School was arrested on the campus Wednesday afternoon after reports of someone with a gun.
The school is located at 300 S. Torrey Pines Dr. According to Metro Police, at around 2 p.m. the agency received a call about a former student being on campus with what appeared to be a gun.
When officers arrived at the scene, the student ran away from police. After a short foot chase, police apprehended the student.
The weapon turned out to be a toy Lego gun.
The student was taken into custody. No other details were released.
