Floyd Mayweather Sr. was arrested Wednesday on battery charges.  Court documents show the father of boxing champ Floyd Mayweather Jr. had a warrant out for his arrest.

The alleged victim, Marsha Robbinson-Byrd, said she was at T-Mobile Arena watching the fight with Floyd Mayweather Sr. prior to the incident. As they were leaving, Robbinson-Byrd’s husband, Leslie Byrd, said his wife and Mayweather Sr. argued the entire time they walked to Mayweather Sr.’s vehicle.

Byrd said his wife had been drinking and continued to antagonize Mayweather Sr. verbally, the report said.

When they got into the car, their argument escalated, so Mayweather Sr. yelled for Robbinson-Byrd to get out of his car. He then opened the back door and grabbed her leg and dragged her out of the car, the report said.

Once he got her out of the car Mayweather Sr. then allegedly punched the back of her leg before getting into the driver’s seat and driving off.

Metro said Robbinson-Byrd had a small scratch on her left forearm, a large scratch on her back, and a bruise on her leg.

A report was filed with security at T-Mobile Arena before Robbinson-Byrd, and her husband went to Centennial Hills Hospital for treatment.

Mayweather Sr. entered a not guilty plea through his attorney on Thursday morning.

His next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 29.
