An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 shook Sandy Valley and Pahrump Thursday morning. The quake hit around 8:15 a.m.
One person in Pahrump told 8 News NOW, “My whole house shook.”
The earthquake was centered about 10.5 miles northwest of Sandy Valley and about 40 miles west of Las Vegas, according to University of Nevada, Reno’s seismological website.
This map shows the area that was shaken by the earthquake.
No damage was reported.
