The 20-year-old driver accused of hitting and killing a grandmother and her granddaughter at a Las Vegas bus stop has waived his right to a preliminary hearing Thursday morning.

Leonardo Ruesga admitted in an exclusive interview with 8 News NOW to hitting and killing six-year-old Alyssa Aisa and her 58-year-old grandmother Maria Garcia on March 30.

Ruesga also admitted on camera to smoking marijuana and selling drugs before the crash at a bus stop on Sahara Avenue and Maryland Parkway. Ruesga fled the scene after the crash and hid in an apartment before police found and arrested him.

Ruesga is being charged with two counts of felony DUI involving death and one count of failing to stop at the scene of an accident.

He is due back in court to face his charges on June 1.
