Flights with Delta Airlines are resuming, but thousands of passengers are affected by the computer systems failure on Monday that grounded flights for around six hours.
Delta Airlines canceled 451 flights and said more than 1,000 flights were delayed by mid-day Monday after experiencing a systems outage.
Information of Monday’s troubles came in an official account that responds to customers via Twitter @DeltaNewsHub.
“Delta has experienced a computer outage that has affected flights scheduled for this morning,” the company tweeted to customers affected by delays. “Flights awaiting departure are currently delayed. Flights en route are operating normally. We appreciate your patience.”
Some delays and cancelations are expected to continue as the airline works to reschedule passengers.
