Crews battle early morning fire Downtown

Firefighters were called out to a large fire near Downtown Las Vegas, near South 6th St. and Clark Ave. after 1:00 Sunday morning. Las Vegas Fire & Rescue says the fire was bursting out of a two-story office building.

When crews arrived, flames and smoke could be seen from the second floor, which extended to the attic. 61 fire personnel responded to the blaze. Reinforcements from North Las Vegas and Clark County also assisted with battling the fire.

The fire caused major damage to the office building. Firefighters stayed on scene throughout the night to make sure no hotspots flared up.

The fire is currently under investigation. No one was injured.
