Clark County Fire officials battled fires at multiple homes late Saturday morning.
Firefighters responded to a southwest residential area around 5:13 a.m., near the intersection of Fort Apache and Hacienda.
Multiple callers reported a model home fire and arriving firefighters say a series of four model homes, of which the middle two were actively burning. A third house was being exposed to fire and second alarm was activated, which brought in additional units from Clark County and Las Vegas Fire and Rescue.
The third house affected structure was nearly complete after construction and wrapped with stucco. An interior attack was initiated on this building, but it ultimately sustained heavy damage.
The fourth home sustained heat damage, but it is unknown what the total assessment will ultimately be.
County Investigators are trying to determine a cause and estimate the amount of damage.
One firefighter sustained a minor injury, but didn’t require a hospital transport and was able to return to work at the scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
