Clark County Commissioners are recommending to approve Unicon, LLC’s bid to finish installing bollards on Las Vegas Boulevard between Tropicana Avenue and Spring Mountain Road — Tier 1, and 1,500 feet on the west side of Sahara.
According to paperwork on the County Commissions’ agenda, this means Muller Construction will no longer be on the project. Unicon will be awarded the project contingent upon submission of the required bonds and insurance.
Earlier this year, a heated dispute between Muller Construction and the union played out in public in front of the Clark County Commissioners. Phase one of the bollard project was complete, but the dispute caused phase two to be on hold.
The board will vote on Tuesday.
