A brother/sister pair is the Wednesday’s Child candidate today. Dave Courvoisier took them looking for pumpkins, but what they really want is an adoptive family.
Lots to do at the Pumpkin Patch. 9-yr-old Dillan and his 11-yr old big sister Kylei, took full advantage of the rides and the search for bright orange fulfillment.
Dillan is a great kid, likes school, and is good at math.
“Dillan is… as you can tell he’s dancing, he’s running, he’s moving around, he’s on the go, he’s really social and outgoing. He has lots of friends and he loves to talk and tell stories,” says Cally a DFS Adoption Recruiter.
Kylei, on the other hand, is not your typical girl.
“I’m a tomboy and I like a lot of things boys usually do like I’m not into dresses or Barbies,” says Kylei.
But when they’re together they always look out for each other.
“If you watch them they’ll both take responsibility for each other, it’s really awesome. Dillan kinda protects her and watches out for her and she does the same for him,” adds Cally.
Their case worker says they both understand what adoption means for their future.
“If you do get adopted that means you have to live with them and technically you’re their own child now,” says Dillan.
“Because… because I want to be with someone who I know will always be there for me,” adds Kylei.
Both of them would like a puppy in their new home, and are OK with having siblings.
“They would really like a two-parent family which I would love to give to them if possible. Siblings. Pets. Fun. Outgoing, going out getting out of the house after school activities being in sports, a family focused on education. They both want to go to college, they both have big dreams. So a family that’s ready to support them through the long haul,” says Cally.
These two are ready for adoption. If you’re interested in Dylan and Kylei, call the local office of the Adoption Exchange today at 702-436-6335.
