An inseparable brother/sister pair is the focus on Wednesday’s Child today. Dave Courvoisier introduces us to Lilly and Joseph.
We’re at the Donut Bar in downtown Las Vegas, only like heaven to 8 year old Joseph and 9 year old Lilly.
All their young lives, they’ve only been able to depend on and watch out for each other.
“I think it’s a I little bit of both I think they watch out for each other and you know kind of make up for what the other one lacks so… they take care of each other pretty well,” says Liz, their DFS Case worker.
Lilly was drawn to the pink frosting…And here’s why:
“She is sweet, she is caring and kind, she is a girly girl. She loves anything pink and she has her hair done all the time and dresses so she’s pretty fun,” adds Liz.
Joseph, on the other hand, is all boy.
“He is a rough-and-tumble boy. He is pretty active I would say and anything with the ball he loves,” claims Liz.
Lilly wears a hearing aid, and understands sign language, but she can hear just fine. The two of them no more challenges than normal kids.
“I don’t think that there is one for these kids. I think that they are pretty easy and I think that they are pretty awesome kids. I think that they do have some health challenges, that are easily overcomable,” says Liz.
We’re seeking a loving adoptive home that can provide the stability these kids need once ‘n’ for all.
“I think a single or two-parent household would be a great fit for these kids. I think they are pretty easy. Someone who has a lot of patience, love, and… just an understanding of the types of kids that we have and the types of challenges that these kids might have experienced,” adds Liz.
These two are overdue for an adoption. If you’re interested, please call the Adoption Exchange today to get the ball rolling: 702-436-6335.
