Firefighters and police are investigating the death of a person found in a burned down RV Friday morning, according to officials.

The fire began around 5:30 a.m. on Primrose Path which is near Rancho Drive and Vegas Drive.

Firefighters with Las Vegas Fire and Rescue arrived to find an old RV fully engulfed in flames. The RV was parked next to a vacant house.

After putting out the fire, firefighters found a body in the remains of the RV.

Since the location of the property is in an island of unincorporated Clark County, the Clark County Fire Department will take over the investigation with assistance from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. 8 News NOW has a crew on the way to the scene of the fire to gather more information.
