Developers behind the dormant All Net Arena project plan to start construction on a basketball, hotel and retail complex on the north end of the Las Vegas Strip before the end of the year.
The proposed site is next to the SLS on the former Wet-N-Wild property.
All Net announced at a Winchester Town Board meeting on Tuesday.
“It’s privately financed,” said Steve Millridge, All Net Arena. “It’s 100 percent financed. It’s done, it’s complete.”
It was the first time the plans were shown publicly. Arena representatives refused requests for subsequent interviews until the plans are discussed by Clark County Commissioners October 18.
Led by former UNLV and NBA basketball player Jackie Robinson, the All Net Arena project broke ground in 2014.
The goal was to bring pro basketball to Las Vegas, but nothing happened.
8 News Now first reported on All Net’s revised plans two weeks ago, which includes an additional 728-foot tall hotel tower, roughly the size of the Fontainebleau property.
