8 News NOW to hold gubernatorial debates

Nevada voters will decide on the state’s next governor in the general election on Nov. 6.

Currently, there are at least a dozen people are vying for the spot. The primary election is June 12 with early voting occurring between May 26 and June 8.

8 News NOW, You Local Election Headquarters, will be holding two gubernatorial debates. The first featured Democrats Chris Giunchigliani and Steve Sisolak on May 21.The second debate will feature Republicans Adam Laxalt, Jared Fisher and Dan Schwartz on May 29 at 6 p.m. Those debates will air on channel 8 and will be live stream on www.LasVegasNow.com.

The candidates taking part in the debates had to meet certain criteria.
