Two people, including a firefighter, were hurt after a vacant house fire in the southern part of the valley Friday night.

The fire erupted shortly before 9 p.m. in a home on Giles Street near Las Vegas Boulevard and Silverado Ranch Boulevard.

The Clark County Fire Department says a civilian suffered smoke inhalation, and a firefighter suffered unknown injuries. None of the injuries are considered life-threatening, according to Clark County Fire officials.

The blaze occurred in an area with few fire hydrants, forcing fire crews to shuttle containers of water to the home.
