1 killed in shooting in northwest valley, victim ID’d

Metro Police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred in the northwest part of the valley Monday night.

The Clark County Coroners office identified the 16-year-old victim as Tiyvone Taylor Mills with the cause of death being a gunshot wound to the back. 

Police say officers responded to a home near Lake Mead Boulevard and Torrey Pines Drive at approximately 9:30 p.m.

When they arrived, they found Mills who had been shot to death as investigators determined he was involved in a fight with another man before the shooting.

Police say the suspect and another man ran from the scene after the shooting.

Police are looking for a black male, 16 to 20 years-old with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, dark pants and white and black tennis shoes.
