One person was injured when an officer accidentally discharged his gun on New Year’s day.
According to Metro Police, around 1:26 a.m., the officer was moving barriers in front of the Monte Carlo when his rifle accidentally discharged into the ground.
One person suffered minor injuries to the leg, but they weren’t transported to the hospital.
Metro said two other people claimed they were also hurt, but no injuries were found on them.
Metro says the incident is under investigation by the Critical Incident Review Team.
