Metro Police are investigating a fatal crash involving four vehicles early Saturday morning.

The Clark County Coroners office identified the 26-year-victim as Kahlil Ali Tiner of Las Vegas. The cause of death is still pending.

The crash occurred after 8 a.m. in the intersection of East Lake Mead Boulevard and Mt. Hood Street. Tiner died at the scene and another occupant was transported to a nearby hospital with moderate injuries according to police.

Metro’s fatal detail investigators say the driver of a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 19-year-old Luis Lopez ran a red light and suspected of DUI. Lopez was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges for DUI Death and DUI with Substantial Bodily Harm.

This is the 91st fatal crash in Metro’s jurisdiction this year.
