The Summerlin Library is a place where young children can socialize with others, develop a love of learning and gain valuable information that will help them prepare for academic success. Children will find a warm and friendly welcome at the library, where weekly storytimes introduce young minds to the exciting world of books. Parents and caregivers can take part in building early literacy skills by participating in 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, a program that encourages reading 1,000 books with their child before he or she starts school. Visit www.lvccld.org for ideas on great books to share and a schedule of library programs that are suitable for your child.
