Madison Kimbro joined the 8 News Now team as a Reporter in November of 2020. Still, she is no stranger to the west coast, having worked as an anchor, reporter, and producer for a television station in Yuma, Arizona. Madison then headed to the east coast to work at a Virginia Beach station as a morning reporter before returning to the desert and making her home right here in Las Vegas.
Madison is beyond thrilled to be working in the ‘Entertainment Capital of the World’ and is delighted to be closer to her home and family in Los Angeles.
Some of Madison’s most notable journalistic career endeavors include covering the global pandemic and its impact on the U.S. and Southern Nevada. But many stories have left an imprint on Madison’s career, including her extensive coverage of immigration, Border Patrol, and agriculture issues while working in Yuma and covering stories important to communities along the U.S. – Mexican border.
Madison was raised in Santa Monica, California, however, she spent a good portion of her life in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where she attended college at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. It was here where she found her love of journalism and concentrated her studies on broadcast and media.
Among some of Madison’s other passions include radio. She co-hosted a recorded morning show in Yuma that aired weekdays from 6 am -9 am with DJ Jeff Edwards of Mix 100.9 FM.
Madison joined KLAS- Ch. 8 News NOW, a CBS affiliate, in November 2020 and is enjoying desert life very much!
