Doctor Behind Hep C Outbreak Suffers Stroke

The doctor who headed those clinics responsible for the hepatitis C scare is now recovering from a stroke.

A representative of the Nevada State Medical Board has told Eyewitness News that Dr. Dipak Desai suffered a stroke.

Tony Clark with the state board of medical examiners says it happened sometime last week in California. Desai is back in Nevada recovering at his home. Desai's medical license is suspended while authorities investigate nine hepatitis cases linked to two medical clinics he owned in Las Vegas
