No one really thought today's Wednesday's Child had much of a chance at life, but he's proved them all wrong. Chance is actually his name, but he's a sure thing.
Chance is on the move, and I'm just trying to keep up. The fact that Chance even can move is a wonder. He was so abused as an infant that doctors thought he'd never walk. Now, at age three, he's proven everyone wrong.
Thanks to his loving foster home, he's thriving.
"He's a bundle of energy. He has a strong, independent spirit and I think he's quite intelligent," says Constance Holdip, a recruitment specialist for DFS.
But his foster mother knows he needs a younger family to take on this lively young man.
"A perfect choice would probably be, in a perfect world, the balance of having two parents. But preferably that could stay home, and male or female, that could give him the patience," says Holdip.
Chance is very affectionate, loves giving and getting hugs, and is special!
"I think they're all special. I think all kids are special, but there's something about his character, and when you see him, you just melt. He's just cute as he can be, and he's just waiting for someone to embrace him and help him grow to his full potential," adds Holdip.
Chance is ready for the right family to take him into his forever home. Call the local office of the Adoption Exchange right now at 436-6335.
