A Henderson physician who has served as a health adviser to Governor Jim Gibbons is considering buying two shut-down medical clinics that officials blame for a massive hepatitis outbreak.
Dr. Rudy Manthei says the physicians who worked for Dr. Dipak Desai should be returned to work because Las Vegas needs treatment facilities. Critics say doctors associated with the Endoscopy Center of Southern Nevada and the Gastroenterology Center of Nevada should never be allowed to practice again.
