We have a pair of brothers hoping to be adopted this week. They're both teens, and they only thing they ask is to stay together.
We're back at the Atomic Testing Museum with John, our candidate from last week. Our focus today is on Nick, the guy with the blond hair.
At 13, Nick has a ready smile but is a man of few words. When I asked him what he likes, he came right to the point.
"I like sports, I like video games, I like to read," admitted Nick.
Nick also likes his big brother Chris but Chris was too camera shy to agree to appear with Nick at the museum. So on this day he let their case worker do the talking.
"Nick wants to go wherever Chris goes. Chris is 15 and he's into sports. He does well in school and his favorite subject is science. And they do very well together. They have a really great relationship," says Andre, an adoption specialist with the County's Division of Family Services.
Nick is a bright guy. He likes science and always does his homework right after school -- and he turns to his big brother for guidance, with whom he's very close.
"Very close and Christopher is a great big brother to Nicholas, we understand," adds Andre.
Nick and Chris believe there's a home where they belong.
"It's really parents that can foster their interest in sports and being active -- and want parents who can be loving and firm, of course, and who can be consistent and be just there for the kids to develop their skills and their sense of self," reminds Andre.
Nick and Chris have an older sister who lives in the Boulder City/Henderson area -- so they're hoping to find a home near there to stay close to her.
