The 2007 Las Vegas Marathon is coming up fast. It's a little more than a month away and some "knightly" volunteers plan to be on hand. Cast members of Monty Python's "Spamalot," at the Wynn, will be manning a water station.

They're among 2,500 volunteers needed to pull off a successful marathon.

Randal Keith, who plays King Arthur has helped out before. "It's a great event here in Vegas. That has been going on for three years. Any volunteers more than welcome to come by and help out any way they can.

Sam Lieberman, volunteer coordinator added, "And volunteers really bring a representation of the entire community to the marathon effort. And that's really what we're about."

Volunteers do everything from handing out water to runners to handing out medals at the finish line.

The number to call if you would like to volunteer for the Las Vegas Marathon on Dec. 2, is (702) 731-1052.
