A soldier from Nevada was one of four killed in Iraq when a home-made bomb exploded near their Stryker military vehicle.
The Army says 31-year-old Sergeant Eric W. Morris of Sparks died Thursday in Tal Afar, Iraq. Also killed were 29-year-old First Lieutenant William A. Edens, 28-year-old Specialist Ricky W. Rockholt Junior, and 21-year-old Private First Class Robert W. Murray Junior. Edens was from Columbia, Missouri.
Morris and Edens were part of the First Battalion, Fifth Infantry Regiment, First Brigade, 25th Infantry Division based at Fort Lewis, Washington.
Rockholt was from Winston, Oregon. Murray was from Westfield, Indiana. They were assigned to the Second Squadron, Third Armored Cavalry Regiment based at Fort Carson, Colorado.
