LAS VEGAS-- The Clark Coroner's Office identified the woman shot and killed Saturday morning as 33-year-old Deanna Serano of Las Vegas. The suspected gunman, identified by police as 27-year-old Carim Cruz, remains on the loose.

According to Metro Police, just after 2:30 a.m. they received multiple calls about a shooting in the parking lot of a restaurant near the intersection of Flamingo and Ft. Apache roads. When officers arrived, they found two women with gunshot wounds.

One of the women was taken to University Medical Center, the second victim died at the scene.

According to a preliminary investigation, there was a large gathering at a restaurant. During the event, Cruz arrived at the party and argued with the victim and several others. The fight then turned physical in the parking lot.

After the fight, Cruz got into his car, drove by the crowd and fired multiple shots, police said. As he was leaving, he fired multiple shots again, hitting two women.

Cruz was last seen in a dark blue four-door Mercedes Benz with Nevada license plates. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 702-828-3521, or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.

This is the 81st homicide in Metro's jurisdiction so far this year.
