Suspect found dead inside home near Nellis and Lake Mead

LAS VEGAS -- Metro Police said a 60-year-old man was found dead with a self-inflicted wound inside a mobile home after a five-hour standoff with police.

According to police, the incident started at around 3:40 p.m. Friday at a trailer park near Nellis Boulevard and Lake Mead Drive.

SWAT was on the scene. The suspect was armed with a knife and possibly a gun. Police aren't sure how he killed himself.

The victim of the stabbing suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
