One man shot and killed after fight at NLV business

Posted: Updated:
NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- A 47-year-old Las Vegas man is dead after an argument inside a business at Cheyenne Avenue and Commerce Street in North Las Vegas.

According to police, officers were called to the scene at around 9 a.m. Friday. They found the victim, who had been shot several times.

The preliminary investigation shows that the victim walked into the business and started a fight with a 43-year-old employee of the business. A 53-year-old employee then pulled out a gun and shot the victim. The victim was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The second man involved in the fight was also hurt, but he suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators believe the men knew each other and that this was not a random act of violence. No one has been arrested. The Clark County Coroner's Office will release the victim's name and cause of death.
