LAS VEGAS — In honor of this weekend's Electric Daisy Carnival, the Animal Foundation announced Tuesday they will host their 'Electric Doggie Carnival,' offering up to 50 percent off adoption fees for dogs waiting 10 days or longer for their new home.

The offer begins Wed., June 18 and ends on Tues., June 24 and includes spay/neuter surgery, microchip and up-to-date vaccines. Additional city license fees may apply, according to the Animal Foundation.

“Summer is the busiest time of year at our facility, and when residents adopt, we’re able to make more room for the more than 110 animals we’re receiving every day,” said marketing and public relations manager Meghan Scheibe. “Our goal is to see to it that many animals go home with happy, loving families throughout this promotion and the rest of summer.”

In addition to the Electric Doggie Carnival, all cats 1 year and older can be adopted for a reduced adoption fee of just $5 as part of the shelter's $5 Felines adoption special for 'Adopt a Shelter Cat Month' through June 30.

You can find your future furry family member at two locations: Campus Adoption Center at 655 N. Mojave Road, Las Vegas (open 11am–7pm daily) or PetSmart Charities Everyday Adoption Center at 286 W. Lake Mead Parkway, Henderson (open Monday through Saturday 9am–8pm, and Sunday 9am–7pm)

For more information or to view adoptable pets online, visit the Animal Foundation's website or call 702-384-3333, ext. 131.
