Funeral arrangements for fallen officers confirmed

Posted: Updated:
LAS VEGAS -- Metro Police have confirmed the funeral arrangements for the two officers killed Sunday by a couple claiming they were starting a revolution.

According to sources, the first funeral will be for 31-year-old Ofc. Igor Soldo. It will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Canyon Ridge Church. Soldo was originally from Bosnia. His whole family moved to Nebraska during the Bosnian War. Soldo came to Las Vegas in 2006 to be a police officer.

The second funeral will be for Ofc. Alyn Beck at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Smith Center for Performing Arts.  Beck, 41, was originally from Green River in western Wyoming. He is survived by his wife and three children who are 14, 11 and 10 months old. Beck was also very involved in the Mormon church.

Beck and Soldo were gunned down while they were eating lunch at a CiCi’s Pizza restaurant at Nellis Boulevard and Stewart Avenue. The shooters then died following a shootout with police inside the Wal-Mart store across the street.

There is still no word on the funeral arrangements for the bystander, Joseph Wilcox, who was killed during the shooting rampage.
