HENDERSON, Nev. --
Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a car and motorcycle on U.S. 95 near Horizon Drive.
According to NHP, the crash happened at around 6 p.m. Friday.
NHP Troopers said 50-year-old Karl Chadwick of Henderson, was traveling northbound on U.S. 95 in the far left lane and attempted to cross over traffic at a high rate speed. The rider struck the back of a Lincoln Navigator, carrying two people and then hit a pickup truck. The occupant of the Lincoln Navigator suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The pickup truck hit the center medium and the female driver was taken to University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Chadwick was thrown from the bike and died at the scene.
