LAS VEGAS -- A suspect is under arrest in connection with a deadly shooting at hookah lounge back in May.

Metro Police say they arrested Preston Emerson on charges of murder with a deadly weapon, three counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon and three counts of battery with a deadly weapon.

According to the arrest report released Wednesday, the shooting happened after an argument between two groups of people at the CEO Hookah Lounge on Flamingo Road and Jones Boulevard at around 5:30 a.m. May 11.

The victim, 33-year-old Jean Claudel Mombo, was shot in the torso. He was taken to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead later in the day. The three other people who were shot suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Police were able to track down the suspect because a promotional photographer had taken pictures inside the club the night of the shooting. Witnesses were able to pick out the picture of the suspect and the woman believed to be with him, from those pictures.

Officers released the pictures to the media and the woman who was with the suspect came forward to talk to police. In the police report, she told officers there was no reason for Emerson to have fired his gun, because the argument was over and everyone had walked away.
