Late actor's art work on permanent display

LAS VEGAS -- Friends and family of Tony Curtis celebrated his life and legacy with a donation of his artwork to the Palm Eastern Mortuary Tuesday.

It is where he was also laid to rest. Back in 1993, the actor painted the "Crescent Bouquet." He developed a passion for painting back in the 1980s and then took it up as a second career in his later years.

The general manager of the Palm Mortuary says they are proud to have the artwork hanging in the mortuary.

“After our remodel of 2013, Jill Curtis-Webber asked us if we would be will to hang one of Tony's artworks in the lobby, and we graciously accepted her offer and we're so proud that we're hanging it here," Glenn Abercrombie said.

Tuesday would have been Curtis' 83rd birthday.
