I-Team: Settlement reached in ethics complaint against Boulder City councilman

Posted: Updated:

BOULDER CITY, Nev. -- The I-Team has learned a Boulder City councilman has reached a settlement with the State Ethics Commission.

A complaint was filed against Councilman Cam Walker for conflict of interest, when he voted on a proposal before the city council involving a plan to build a $1 billion solar plant.

At the time Walker made the vote, he was employed by a construction company that was being considered as the general contractor for the power plant project.

The ethics commission reached a stipulated agreement with Walker over the violation. The commission says it was not a willful violation, so it will not impose a penalty.
