LAS VEGAS -- A Clark County grand jury indicted a Las Vegas man on one count of murder with a deadly weapon in the death of his girlfriend.

The jury indicted 26-year-old Edward Edgerton in the beating death of Tyanna Reynolds. According to prosecutors, Edgerton and Reynolds got into a fight at their apartment near Nellis Boulevard and Vegas Valley Drive on March 15, after Edgerton answered a call on Reynold's cell phone from her ex-boyfriend.

In the arrest report, Edgerton told police he grabbed Reynolds by the arm and hit her with a belt several times. The belt was found at the apartment and another broken belt was also found, prosecutors said.

The judge set no bail. Edgerton will return to court June 2.
