LAS VEGAS - A driver says motorists often speed along Martin Luther King Boulevard between Lake Mead Boulevard and Carey Avenue despite a 35 mile-per-hour speed limit.
In November, the Las Vegas City Council approved a speed limit change for Martin Luther King Boulevard after two deadly accidents involving pedestrians.
The council voted to reduce the speed limit along MLK between Symphony Park and Carey Avenue from 45 mph to 35 mph.
Drivers apparently haven't noticed. Many continue to speed - even through a 25 mph school zone along this stretch.
Traffic8 alerted Metro Police to this problem. Metro representatives say they will increase patrols of this area.
